Concept project
Maison Orme, a concept website for a bistro
Maison Orme does not exist. It is a seasonal bistro imagined in Montargis to show, through a concrete example, how we design a restaurant website. Every choice below answers a question customers ask themselves before booking.

The problem
Someone looking for a place to eat decides in a few seconds, on their phone. Too many restaurant websites make them search: a PDF menu, hidden opening hours, no button to book.
Our approach: everything clear without scrolling
The first screen answers a customer's four questions: the type of food, the town, whether it is open right now and how to book. The opening status is calculated live from the current time.
The choices that matter

A menu as a web page, not a PDF
Readable on mobile, quick to update and understood by Google.

A fixed action bar on mobile
Calling, getting directions or booking stays within reach at all times.

An identity that belongs to the restaurant
Elm green, cream and wood, an elm leaf as the logo, Fraunces for headings and Inter for body text. Bludres colours do not appear: the website belongs to the client's brand, not to the studio.
A concept, and we say so
A banner flags the fictional business on every page. The site is not indexed by Google, shows no real address, and no button triggers an action: they display a demo message.
